Phone Calls & Walks  ·  Kansas City

I coach men to flourish as husbands, with their children, and in their work.

In that order. Most coaching starts at the office and works backward. I've never seen that fix a home, and I've seen plenty of fixed homes quietly fix the office.

Free is Tablesetters.

A table and a fire, twice a month, no charge and no catch. If you want time with me and don't want to pay for it, that's where it is — and you're genuinely welcome. What's below is for men who want the walk to be theirs.

How it actually works

No intake packet. No onboarding sequence.

01

We walk

Two mornings a month, somewhere around the metro — a trail, a neighborhood, the loop by your office. Seventy-five minutes on foot. Something about walking side by side instead of sitting across a desk gets men to say the true thing faster.

02

We talk between

Calls when you need them, not just when they're scheduled. The week something breaks is the week it matters, and that week rarely lines up with a calendar invite.

03

We stay

Nothing useful happens in three sessions. The work is cumulative — I'll remember what you said in March, and in two years I'll still be asking about it. That continuity is the whole product.

No assessment. No framework. No slide deck.

I'm not licensed in a system and I'm not going to hand you a personality type. What I have is twenty years of building things with people, a decent memory, and a standing spot on your calendar.

  • You will not get a dashboard.
  • You will not get homework you don't want.
  • You will get asked about your wife by name.
  • You will get told the truth, including when it's about you.

Three rhythms

Quarterly minimum, invoiced monthly.

The Call

$500/mo

  • One standing 45-minute call every two weeks
  • Phone, on foot, wherever you are
  • For men outside the metro, or men who travel

Most men land here

The Walk

$1,200/mo

  • Two walks a month around Kansas City
  • Calls in between, as needed
  • The core of the practice

The Season

$2,400/mo

  • Weekly rhythm — walk or call
  • Introductions made on purpose, not by accident
  • For a year that matters more than most

I walk with eight men. When it's eight, it's eight, and I'll tell you so and mean it. If that's where things stand, I'll say when a spot is likely to open.

If it's worth flying for

Sometimes being in the room solves something a call can't — a founding team in real conflict, a retreat, a hard board meeting. When that's true, I'll come.

Two-day minimum. $7,500 plus travel. Not a fly-in, fly-out.

One trip a month, maximum. None during a kid's season. If the agenda would survive a phone call, it should be a phone call — and I'll tell you if I think that's the case.

The honest version

Every day I'm on a plane is a morning I'm not at my own kitchen table. That's the real cost, and it's why the number is what it is. It isn't a rate card — it's a threshold.

I'm not a counselor, a therapist, or a pastor, and this isn't treatment. Some of what men carry needs a trained professional, and when that's what I'm hearing I'll say so plainly and help you find one. That's not me ducking the hard stuff. It's me not pretending to be qualified for all of it.

No booking link, no discovery funnel. Write me a few sentences about where you are, and we'll figure out together whether this is the right thing — including if the answer is no.
